A Fire Broke Out at allnex Manufacturing Plant

On July 10, 2022, at approximately 10:30 p.m., a fire broke out at the allnex manufacturing site in East St. Louis, Illinois. The cause is still under investigation.

Two employees were injured and taken to the hospital for further treatment after an explosion and fire at allnex manufacturing plant in St. Louis, Illinois.

The fire was extinguished by the fire department, and local emergency response teams were on site to maintain safety measures and cooperate with the authorities.

The roof of the production building and the structures surrounding the catalyst tank were damaged. The site was secured and production is halted until further notice.

One of the injured employees has been discharged, while the second employee is still in hospital care.

“The causes and consequences of the incident will be the subject of further investigation and follow-up. Further communications will be available as soon as more information is gathered and verified”, stated the company.
