By combining specialist knowledge with digital innovation, AkzoNobel aims to transform sustainability ambitions into measurable operational gains.

AkzoNobel Powder Coatings has officially unveiled Eco+ Services, a comprehensive suite of technical and digital solutions designed to help manufacturers measure and enhance the sustainability of their coating operations.

The new offering integrates digital tools with technical expertise and verified environmental data. This combination allows customers to gain a precise understanding of their environmental footprint, ranging from carbon emissions and energy usage, to identify specific areas for operational improvement. Customers today are looking for more than high-performance coatings. Manufacturers want partners who can help them run more efficient operations. Eco+ Services provides the insights needed to make informed decisions,” has stated Jorrit van Rijn, Marketing Director of AkzoNobel Powder Coatings.

The service arrives at a time when manufacturers are under increasing pressure to optimise processes and lower energy consumption. By providing clearer sustainability metrics, Eco+ Services enables businesses to take ownership of their environmental impact through data-driven insights.

The initiative focuses on three primary areas:

  • Application Optimisation: Features tools like Flightpath Pro, an AI-based solution developed with coatingAI. It uses cloud-based analysis to adjust spray gun settings, reducing defects and overspray while ensuring consistent thickness and lower material waste.
  • Energy Savings: Provides data-driven consulting on curing operations to help manufacturers streamline coating line efficiency and reduce emissions.
  • Verified Environmental Data: Offers third-party certified Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) for the Interpon D range, compliant with ISO 14025 and EN 15804 standards. This transparency supports green building certifications like LEED and BREEAM.
