The Canadian Coatings Conference will offer attendees reflections on the state of the Canadian CASE industry.

The Canadian Paint and Coatings Association (CPCA) has announced that it will host the Canadian Coatings Conference, which will be held at the William Gray Hotel in Montreal (Canada) from 22nd to 23rd May 2024. The conference programme will include topics of interest to the North-American CASE industry, such as the supply-chain of raw materials for paints and coatings.

Dan Murad (President and CEO of ChemQuest Group), will delve into the North American CASE industry, focusing on the drivers of change, while Adrian Krygsman from Arxada will offer insights into the challenges of biocide evaluation in Canada, the impact it will continue to have on productivity and the need for regulatory alignment with the United States of America.

Moreover, Heidi McAuliffe (VP Government Affairs at the American Coatings Association) will shed light on regulatory issues south of the border related to VOCs, chemical risk assessment under TSCA and paint preservation biocide regulations under the U.S. EPA. Finally, Stephanie Vanslambrouck (Chief Scientist at EMCO-Inortech) will discuss VOC emissions reductions for water-based coatings in Canada, explaining how water-based coatings are important in film formation for coatings exposed to harsh conditions, such as automotive, machinery industrial, flooring and marine applications.
