HMG Paints to Support Two Charities Throughout 2022

Date: 04/03/2022

The HMG staff has chosen two charities to support throughout 2022, which have a special focus in areas local to HMG headquarters and around the UK.

HMG announced that it will be supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities and Francis House Children’s Hospice throughout 2022. These two charities have been selected by HMG employees based on their work in the local area of Manchester – where HMG is located – and in the UK.

Ronald McDonald House Charities supports families with children in hospital by providing 12 free ‘home away from home’ accommodation, which are particularly important when families have to travel long distances to be with their child in hospital.

Over the past few years, HMG supported Ronald McDonald House Charities with paint and donations for the houses including hand sanitisers and sanitiser sprays.

“It really did make such a huge difference to all of our houses across the UK to receive donations of hand sanitiser and decontamination foggers, it really helped us deal with the pandemic”, said Sally Cannon, House Manager at Ronald McDonald House Manchester.

HMG Paints has also become the first company to take on the Francis House Children’s Hospice 30k-ers Challenge to show their support for the work the hospice does with local children and families in what is its milestone 30th anniversary year. Money raised from the initiative will enable the charity – founded in 1991 – to continue to expand and develop its services supporting hundreds of children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families.

“We are thrilled to be the first business to be a Francis House 30k-er. After a tough couple of years during the pandemic, the team at HMG is looking forward to getting involved in fundraising activities. This year we are proud to be supporting Francis House alongside a couple of other chosen charities.” - Gracienne Ikin, Brand Development and Communications Manager at HMG.

“We are delighted to be working with the team at HMG Paints in this special anniversary year. As a family-owned business, we know how much emphasis they place on family values and families are at the heart of everything we do at Francis House. We are truly grateful for their support”, Said Kate Puc, Fundraising Officer at Francis House Children's Hospice.

HMG Paints plans to organise a staff barbeque, a raffle to win extra holidays, a bake off and team building exercises to kick-start its fundraising for both charities.
