The award has been assigned to the company for the outstanding project management of the new "RoDip" painting line for premium cars in Mirafiori and the results obtained.
On 15th December, at the Lingotto Conference Centre in Turin (Italy), the FCA Group has awarded its best suppliers at the "Qualitas Supplier Convention", which aims to strengthen the relationship between the suppliers and the Group stressing about the relevance of synergy and integration to achieve the primary goal: Quality.
The event was organized by Group Purchasing EMEA and was attended, among others, by Alfredo Altavilla, Chief Operating Officer EMEA and Scott Garberding, Head of Group Purchasing of FCA.
During the convention, attended by over one thousand suppliers of Fiat Chrysler for the EMEA area, the Qualitas awards have been assigned, involving 18 different supply categories.
Among the award-winning companies, OLPIDÜRR S.p.A., the Italian subsidiary of multinational German Group DÜRR specialized in painting plants, industrial cleaning and air treatment systems, has received the "Capital Equipment Supplier of the Year" award, presented by Marco Dalla Vedova, Global Head of Capex & Indirect Materials and EMEA Head of Services, FCA, to Marco Pizzamiglio, Chairman of OLPIDURR.
The company was awarded for the "outstanding project management" of the new "RoDip" painting line for premium cars installed in the FCA plant of Mirafiori. This is the first time the automotive Group implements a rotation technology for the car bodies in pretreatment and e-coat lines. This innovative solution - as reported in the motivations for the award – "allowed to achieve strict environmental targets, lower operating costs in the production of the vehicles while maintaining excellent appearance and quality".
