The bilingual expert forum during the last edition of parts2clean

The trade fair dedicated to industrial parts and surface cleaning solutions, processes and technologies that will take place from 26th to 28th September 2023 at the Stuttgart Exhibition Grounds – Messe Stuttgart (Germany) celebrates its 20th anniversary.

A favoured international Hub in the industrial cleaning of components and surfaces, parts2clean reflects the needs of the most diverse users and proposes a portfolio of globally unique solutions, confirmed by the ample range of products at this year’s edition and the new claim “Cleaning redefined”. In addition to traditional industrial cleaning sectors, parts2clean will also present new and adapted intervention areas, born, for example, from energy transformation and mobility, automation trends, digitalisation and AI, sustainability and, in several cases, tighter regulatory standards.

Cleaning solutions for electronics production, electric mobility, sensor technology, the optical industry and medical and pharmaceutical technology have grown in importance. parts2clean will also deal with the theme of energy efficiency in systems and cleaning processes. Market research and surveys carried out during the fair itself have shown that parts2clean is now an essential event in the industrial scenario.

Cleaning has for some time been a competitive factor, because ready-to-use components and surfaces are a basic premise for quality products in every sector. Stricter cleaning specifications, new products and materials, new production technology, higher energy and resources efficiency standards are creating new challenges for sector specialists. As an international leader event, parts2clean covers the entire range of possible solutions: from complete installations, cleaning baskets and component holders, to cleaning media, clean room systems and drying or anti-corrosion protection processes.

Quality certification and systems analysis, handling and automation are also an integral part of the offer, as well as the development of wet cleaning processes and technologies for dry cleaning and better energy and resources efficiency, greater cost-savings and the inclusion of cleaning operations in networked production processes. For the first time in the twenty-year history of parts2clean, this year a main theme will be proposed called “High Purity”, representative of the broader thematic remit of the event. What is required for “normal” industrial components is no longer adequate for high-tech components that have more severe and rigorous cleaning requirements.

Over recent years the concept of fine and precision cleaning has been accompanied by the concept of High Purity, but what exactly does this term mean and what characterises it? In reality definitions differ from sector to sector. Simplifying and summarising, one can however say that it is the highest class of precision cleaning: particularly complex procedures for sectors such as the semiconductors industry or precision optics and optoelectronics, thin-film technology, medical technology and vacuum pack components technology (UHV, XHV and UCV).

ASML, one of the leading global producers of semiconductors, will deal with this theme from a user point of view illustrating the different “purity classes” that need to be considered in production processes and the possible fatal consequences of not respecting the strict provisions laid down. The three-day specialist forum that will be held at the fair is one of the most sought-after sources of sector knowledge internationally.

In addition to the classic cleaning themes, the consideration of today’s standard operations and developments in many different industrial sectors, the Forum will also explore the main theme. Over 40 specific conferences make this event a unique prerogative of the fair, which has included participation in the daily ticket. parts2clean aims to be not only a reflection of the market, but also an occasion for in-depth discussion on themes related to the future.
