The new flooring systems of Sherwin-Williams combine softness underfoot with durability and environmental advantages.

The High-Performance Flooring division of Sherwin-Williams has recently announced that it will launch the new SofTop™ Comfort flooring systems also in North America, expanding its seamless resinous flooring portfolio offering comfort, superior aesthetics and sustainability.

Already available in Europe, Middle East, Africa and India, the range of flooring systems is soft underfoot, providing better ergonomics and minimising fatigue for pedestrians while maintaining strong durability. It has been specifically designed for a various array of applications and environments in which elevated aesthetics and long-term performances are required.

SofTop Comfort flooring systems are long-lasting, waterproof, tolerant of temperature extremes and resistant to cracking, chipping and impacts. The noise-absorbent floors also help to reduce echoes, offering quieter indoor spaces thanks to the two-component polyurethane resin-based technology. They are formulated with up to 25% natural and renewable plant oils, thus reducing the environmental impact and containing very low levels of volatile organic compounds.

Seamless and easy to clean, SofTop Comfort floors can stand up to frequent as well as harsh cleaning operations, promoting hygiene and enhancing the safety of a variety of front- and back-of-house environments, including in healthcare facilities, schools, offices, airports, arenas, laboratories, light industrial settings, hotels, convention centres and animal care facilities.

“SofTop Comfort floors offer both form and function, creating attractive, safe and comfortable spaces for people to live, work and play. SofTop Comfort systems offer advantages over traditional floor coverings, with an ease of maintenance and refinishing, making for a long, productive lifecycle,” has stated Casey Ball, the global marketing director of Sherwin-Williams High Performance Flooring. “Alternative flooring systems featuring seams are prone to harbouring bacteria and can be difficult to sanitize and repair.”

Acting as a continuous design element that offers a multitude of decorative styles, the range is available in the full Sherwin-Williams palette of standard and customisable colours and design options.
