Europe’s premier integrated offshore energy event returns to P&J Live in Aberdeen from September 7–9, 2027. The three-day conference will feature plenary sessions, panel discussions, and fireside chats structured around three main topic pillars: delivering responsibly, driving prosperity, and strengthening capability and innovation.
Organizers of SPE Offshore Europe 2027
(OE27) have officially announced the event's theme: (Em)Powering Europe: Securing Our Energy Future’, and launched its call for paper proposals. The programme committee is seeking submissions that highlight innovative solutions, case studies, lessons learned, and emerging technologies. The selected proposals will form over 30 technical and e-poster sessions focused on:
- Operational excellence and asset value maximisation
- Decarbonisation advances
- Digital transformation
- Workforce development
“The theme of OE27 reflects what the people in this sector have always done best, tackling the most complex challenges through innovative solutions. New North Sea oil and gas production alongside renewables are part of the same mission to secure Europe's energy future. OE27 helps turn that mission into action,” has commented David Latin, Chair of Serica Energy and conference co-chair of OE27.

“OE’s technical programme is where engineers, geoscientists and energy professionals come together to share ideas, challenge thinking and learn from each other’s experience. We want to hear from people doing interesting work across the sector whether that is improving operational performance and safety, applying new technologies, unlocking value from the subsurface or supporting the delivery of lower-carbon energy. For the first time, the programme will also feature a dedicated stream on Talent Development and Diversity,” has added Edna Michelle Bisso Bi Mba, Head of Reservoir services at Harbour Energy’s Technology and Service Centre and technical programme co-chair of OE27.
