Michael Lee will drive SRG Global’s strategy for long-term sustainable growth.
SRG Global, a member of Guardian Industries, has recently announced that Michael (Mike) Lee has been named new president of the company. Lee has over 20 years of financial planning, management, contract negotiation and sales experience.
Specialised in manufacturing high value coatings on plastic for the automotive and commercial truck industries, SRG Global will now advance its strategy for long-term sustainable growth. Merritt Gaunt, the former president, has instead been promoted to executive vice-president of Guardian Industries.
“Mike was a key member of the SRG Global leadership team when we redefined the company vision in 2019. His contribution has been instrumental as we transformed our company in the face of unprecedented challenges. With this transition, I expect that our transformation will not only continue, but accelerate as we work to ensure we have the capabilities we need to create value for our customers. I am thrilled to continue to work directly with Mike and support him on this exciting journey,” stated Gaunt.
Lee holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, as well as an MBA from the University of Michigan. He began his career at Ford Motor Company, gaining valuable experience in engineering, marketing, programme management and product planning. Later, he served as the general manager of Webasto Product North America – overseeing business operations for two manufacturing and multi-tier distribution divisions – and as the vice-president and general manager of Norgren Vehicle sector.
