The international engineering company Dürr has equipped the Indonesian car manufacturer PT Handal Indonesia Motor with a turnkey paint line. The highlight is the RoDip® E, which sets new standards in the painting process with its flexible and sustainable pre-treatment.
With this paint shop, PT Handal Indonesia Motor established itself as a veteran in the industry, with 26 years of experience assembling and painting Hyundai cars. With great trust in Dürr's quality and professionalism, PT Handal Indonesia Motor once again approach Dürr to expand its capacity with a modern, turnkey facility.

The RoDip® E is being implemented in Indonesia for the first time, representing a major milestone. Offering exceptional flexibility, it sets new benchmarks in pre-treatment and E-coat processes. Its controllable carriage enables customised, vehicle-specific dip curves, while the side-mounted recirculation system minimises the system’s height and optimises space utilisation. Thanks to its modular design, the painting system is easily scalable and ready for future expansion—allowing capacity to increase from five to fifteen car bodies/hour.
Alongside the RoDip® E, Dürr is also supplying its proven dryers and the EcoDry X dry separation system for the new paint shop. This highly sustainable system uses cardboard and disposable filters, eliminating the need for water or chemicals. The entire facility is operated and monitored using the latest Industry 4.0 IoT technology, ensuring seamless digital integration. With DXQequipment.operation, operating processes and production data can be visualised in real time, boosting both efficiency and productivity.
