FANUC Corporation has once again been recognised as a global leader in technology and intellectual property, securing its place in the Top 100 Global Innovators 2026 by Clarivate Plc. This prestigious accolade marks FANUC’s seventh inclusion overall and its fifth consecutive year on the list.

The selection process, driven by Clarivate’s proprietary patent data analysis, highlighted the surging importance of Artificial Intelligence. Notably, the organisations featured this year account for 16% of all AI-related inventions globally.

Innovation through AI and Robotics By focusing on its core expertise in factory automation, FANUC has aggressively invested in R&D to bring highly competitive products to market. A key pillar of this success is its worldwide patent strategy. Recent efforts have prioritised AI integration within CNC devices and robot control. Last year, the Japan Patent Office ranked FANUC 18th in the country for AI-related patent applications.
