February in Review

Two magazines and one Bachelor's degree.

February is the shortest month of the year and even if it's only a matter of a couple days less than other months, the editorial life becomes even more hectic

That's because for the ipcm editorial office February means the publication of two magazines: ICTIndustrial Cleaning Technologies, the ipcm supplement dedicated to cleaning technologies containing in this issue 8 on-site reports from across Italy; and ipcmIbérica/LatinoAmérica, the magazines on surface treatments targeting the Spanish, Portuguese and South American markets, for which we travelled across Spain, Portugal and Mexico to write the 5 published case studies.

February is also the preparation of the ipcm Academy training courses. The first session will take place on March 20. The program is available at this link and registrations are already open

On February 20, the Ordinary General Assembly of Shareholders UCIF took place. UCIF is an independent association member of ANIMA, representing over 58% of Italian production of machines and finishing equipment. ipcm has been a member of the association since 2010. In this context more than 20 companies from within the industry intervened. Our editor-in-chief, Alessia Venturi, spoke about our editorial work to create original content, the common thread that links the latest case studies – i.e. Industry 4.0 – and the trade fairs we represent in Italy (PaintExpo and DeburringExpo).

EOS at the university

Last but not least, another very special event for EOS took place in February: on the 22nd, our colleague Ilaria graduated in Modern Languages and Cultures at the Università degli studi di Pavia. She presented a thesis on her internship at the editorial office of ipcm, analysing the various aspects of the editorial work and the different languages of technical communication, both in the publishing and in the digital field.

Strengthened by this new milestone – that we all feel a bit our own as well – we are already working on the next issue of ipcm, out in March and dedicated to the architecture and design sectors. It will be a very important issue, already very rich in content. This issue will be distributed at Hannover Messe, Farbtex Messe, Bauma, Aluminum 2000, Salone del Mobile.Milano, Swisstech, Made in Steel, Lamiera, SF Expo China, Cosmopack and Packaging Prémiere.

In March we will also attend European Coatings Show – an unmissable event for the coating industry. Visit us at booth nr. 4-152, hall 4!
