Thanks to their water-based composition, both of Mapei’s solutions deliver high performance, safety, durability, and enhanced visual appeal for racetracks, while also helping reduce environmental impact.

Mapei marks a new milestone in its sustainability strategy by presenting two innovative, fully carbon-offset sports coatings at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli: Mapecoat TNS Race Track Zero and Mapecoat TNS Race VRT Zero. The new solutions were unveiled during the event ‘Sustainable Innovation Hits the Track,’ held on the occasion of the FIM Superbike World Championship – Made in Italy Emilia-Romagna Round.

Developed in Mapei’s laboratories to combine high performance with environmental respect, both coatings are part of the company’s Zero line and are certified according to international FIA and FIM standards. The residual emissions generated throughout the product lifecycle are fully offset through the purchase of carbon credits supporting forest protection projects.

“In recent years, the Misano World Circuit has undergone significant improvements that have gradually transformed it into a major motorsport park. All work has been carried out with a focus on sustainability. These actions have earned us ISO 20121 certification and recognitions such as the FIA 3-star rating and the FIM Environmental Award,” has stated Andrea Albani.

Mapecoat TNS Race Track Zero is a water-based acrylic coating ideal for marking curbs, starting grids, pit lanes, and run-off areas. It provides durable, non-slip surfaces with excellent wet-condition resistance.
Mapecoat TNS Race VRT Zero is specifically designed for vertical barriers and custom graphics. It is applied using airless technology, offers UV resistance, and ensures a matte finish to minimise glare during night races.

“It is important to be part of the launch of Mapei’s new products, especially in a meaningful setting like the SBK World Championship in Misano. Sustainability is a key topic in motorsport. Sustainability and safety are priorities for the Italian Motorcycling Federation (FMI), and we’re fortunate to have the support of major players such as Mapei,” has commented Giovanni Copioli.

“Mapei has been involved in motorsport for many years, working globally. With these new products, we’re bringing tangible innovation to the track: high-performance, durable, and safe coatings that respect the environment thanks to full CO₂ emissions compensation,” has added Elisa Portigliatti.
