Magnus and Lukas Buske will join the management board of the international company founded by their father Christian Buske.

The German company Plasmatreat GmbH has presented the new expanded management board during a press conference at K 2022, a trade fair dedicated to the rubber and plastics industry which took place in October. The Steinhagen-based company is a producer of atmospheric plasma technology for surface treatment of various materials founded in 1995 by Christian Buske, who is counting on an orderly transition of the family business to his sons Magnus and Lukas.

Magnus Buske has studied business administration and mechanical engineering and brings extensive experience in the adhesives industry, as well as in the area of pretreatment of substrates. Shortly after joining Plasmatreat, he took over additional responsibility for the Research and Development department and he is also responsible for projects in various industries and research areas since 2018. After the transition, he will also oversee purchasing, manufacturing, design, innovation management and the commercial departments.

“In the near future, I see the main focus of our company and my work particularly in making production processes more environmentally friendly and replacing harmful solvents with our plasma applications and reducing CO2 emissions,” has declared Magnus Buske.

Lukas Buske, on the other hand, has started his professional career at the VW Group after completing a master's degree in industrial engineering. He has also worked in the area of research related to mobile services and then gained almost three years of experience as a development engineer for sensors and actuators. Lukas joined Plasmatreat in 2017, managing the PlasmaPlus business unit – a division dedicated to the creation of nanocoatings using atmospheric pressure. Since 2019, he is also the head of Plasma Applications & Market Segment Manager Battery. He will now be responsible for sales and service, marketing, human resources and the development of the individual business segments.

“I see great potential for Plasmatreat in the future in the areas of e-mobility and electronics, where we expect strong growth internationally. For example, in the battery sector, we will continue to drive forward very specific future-oriented topics such as thermal conductivity and insulation, as well as applications in the fuel cell sector. We, at Plasmatreat, want to be a reliable partner for our customers, helping to shape future production and processes,” has stated Lukas Buske.

“Our claim is to support our customers worldwide optimally and from close proximity with German know-how, exciting innovations and the usual high-quality service. In order to ensure this in the future as a global market leader within a rapidly growing company and to continue to drive forward the expansion of research & development and sales as well as the establishment of new subsidiaries, we have already filled the most important pillars for a successful future with the second generation,” has concluded the founder Christian Buske.
