PPG Donated Another $200,000 to Support the Ukrainian Population

PPG committed more than $450,000 since March to assist non-profit organisations providing humanitarian support.

In order to support the Ukrainian population, PPG has announced that it will donate $200,000 to non-profits associations providing humanitarian support. At the beginning of March, the company already provided an initial $250,000 donation to humanitarian relief funds, as well as to longer-term recovery support.

PPG is also continuing to closely monitor the developments in the region, with local teams focused on directly assist the affected families of its collaborators. In addition, the employees of the company have been providing further support such as donations, essential goods and even homes and shelters to refugees in need.

PPG had made the immediate decision to refrain from sales to Russian state-owned entities, parties that fall within the scope of recent regulations and the aerospace market. The company is also not planning any new investments and has taken steps to wind down various other operations, with an exception for the supply of coatings to customers who are providing packaging that contains essential food and beverage products.

As a matter of fact, the company intends to continue selling a minimum number of essential products in Russia in order to maintain employment. However, it plans to donate the net profits generated by the Russian operations in 2022 to non-profit organisations.
