Showcase of new effect pigments and high-performance resins aimed at automotive, industrial, and architectural coatings.
Sun Chemical, in partnership with DIC, will present its latest colour materials and resin innovations at PaintIndia 2026 running from 19–21 February in Mumbai (India). The exhibition will spotlight solutions for automotive, industrial, architectural, plastic and glass coatings.
Visitors will see a comprehensive range of new effect pigments alongside established high-performance products designed to expand colour palettes, enhance durability, and comply with evolving regulatory requirements. Demonstrations will also illustrate the application of innovative colour materials in contemporary formulations.
PaintIndia 2026 will mark the debut of Glacier™ Exterior Ceramic White S1303M, delivering a subtle satin effect for pure white shades. The Glacier™ pigments utilise transparent synthetic mica to achieve maximum brightness, clean sparkle, and improved lustre.
Other key launches include:
- Fanchon® Orange 36 / 271-6136, a preferred C.I. Pigment Orange 36 for universal architectural, industrial, and lead-free applications.
- Sunbrite® Red 177/227-7177, a transparent anthraquinone pigment offering intense red chroma with a bluish down-flop, ideal for two-wheeler coatings.
- Heliogen® blue and green phthalocyanine pigments, offering the highest purity on the market with consistent quality and regulatory resilience.
- Paliocrom® aluminium effect pigments, including the new Paliocrom® Premium Orange L 2900 and the established Brilliant Ruby L 3558, optimised for automotive and industrial coatings.
- Lumina® HD high-definition pearlescent pigments, featuring the new ShowLumina® HD Exterior Blue Russet S6903V, delivering exceptional chroma, subtle sparkle, and enhanced image distinctness.
- Sun Chemical will also showcase its digital tools, including direct access to product carbon footprint statements and extended colour space options through new OEM and two-wheeler trend styling displays.
DIC will present its latest resins for coatings across automotive, industrial, wood, and plastic or glass applications, focusing on adhesion, durability, and performance.
For automotive coatings, highlights include:
- ACRYDIC 53-580 for alloy wheels, providing excellent adhesion and durability.
- Idecryl-3324, a fast-setting acrylic for basecoats with CAB compatibility and metallic orientation.
- Idecryl-1069, a solvent-based acrylic topcoat offering fast drying, high gloss, and chemical resistance.
- ACRYDIC AU-7519, an acrylic polyol for superior 2K clear coats in automotive refinishing.
- Industrial applications feature resins such as Idecryl-1063D for direct-to-metal coatings, Idecryl-8080BA for high-solid, low-viscosity applications, and Idepoxyether-7697, a bio-based epoxyether for corrosion protection.
