The ISCC PLUS certifications mark a significant step towards the phased introduction of a comprehensive global range of bio-attributed specialty resins and additives. These include high solids, waterborne, UV-LED-EB, and polyester powder materials, catering to diverse industrial sectors.

Arkema has secured ISCC PLUS certification for its acrylic monomer production sites across the world, including locations in Carling (France), Clear Lake (USA), Taixing (China), and Bayport (USA). This milestone forms part of the company’s global Mass Balance initiative.

With a fully certified international network for acrylic monomers, Arkema is well positioned to facilitate fast, cost-effective projects aimed at lowering product carbon footprints for customers throughout the acrylic value chain. This spans end-use applications such as coatings, adhesives, new mobility solutions, building efficiency, living comfort, engineered polymers, leather, textiles, hygiene products, and water treatment.

“Arkema is among the first suppliers to offer local supply of bio-attributed acrylic monomers on a truly global scale, utilising a Mass Balance approach. This certification paves the way for strategic reductions in product carbon footprints through our bio-attributed acrylic resins and additives, benefitting the entire acrylics industry value chain. Our Mass Balance method will also help drive economies of scale for increased use of renewable and recycled raw materials,” has stated Hervé Castres Saint Martin, Group President for Acrylic Monomers at Arkema.
