Kalyan Sehanobish, John DeJoy, and Mitch Magee will support ChemQuest on a global scale.
The ChemQuest Group, a global consulting firm specialising in bespoke business strategy and optimisation, technology acceleration, market intelligence, and M&A advisory services for the specialty materials industry, has announced the appointment of three new directors:
- Kalyan Sehanobish
- John DeJoy
- Mitch Magee
Kalyan Sehanobish, Ph.D., brings more than 40 years of experience in the thermoplastics industry, where he has consistently driven profitable and sustainable growth while delivering breakthrough innovations. A Six Sigma-certified Green Belt, he spent the majority of his career in various research and technology roles of increasing responsibility with Dow Chemical Co. Sehanobish holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Jadavpur University and a doctorate in macromolecular science from Case Western University.
“Over the course of my career, I was able to build 30 years of experience in a rapidly evolving materials company. I am excited to bring my skills in polymer product and applications development to ChemQuest,” has stated Kalyan Sehanobish.
John DeJoy joins ChemQuest with a distinguished background in manufacturing and operations. Having held positions such as plant manager, regional vice president, and senior vice president for manufacturing and engineering at organisations including Sherwin-Williams Co. and Behr Paint Co., he has been instrumental in optimising operations, developing best practices, and establishing several greenfield automated facilities. DeJoy holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Cleveland State University.

Mitch Magee is a results-oriented manufacturing executive with over 35 years of progressive leadership experience in global operations. He has a proven record of success in advanced technology integration, process optimisation, and talent development across multi-site operations for organisations such as PPG Industries and PPG Aerospace. Magee earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Allegheny College, along with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.

After spending 35 years from the front lines to the corporate suite in the coatings, sealants, and specialty chemicals industry, I am looking forward to the challenges of helping clients improve their processes, bottom lines, and engagement,” has commented Mitch Magee.
