An event that has reached its 10th edition, which demonstrates the strategic importance of the industry. The only B2B fair dedicated exclusively to the railway industry in Italy, EXPO Ferroviaria brings together the leading representatives of the industry. For the first time, a new area dedicated to tunnelling technologies will provide a privileged location for specialised companies in the construction and equipping of tunnels and underground spaces to present their technologies.

In the year that represents a restart, EXPO Ferroviaria, the only B2B fair dedicated to the railway industry in Italy, returns to Fiera Milano Rho and celebrates its tenth edition.

Furthermore, the European Union has designated 2021 as the European Year of Rail. The decision was taken by the European Council and is directly linked to the EU's efforts to promote the use of ecological means of transport, not to mention the goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2050 according to the European Green deal.

A comprehensive showcase of railway technologies

EXPO Ferroviaria is dedicated to all sectors of railway technology. In addition to manufacturers in the major fields of rolling stock technology, track and infrastructure, signalling and communications, the fair is also a showcase for suppliers of many other specialised products, including vehicle maintenance equipment, ticketing systems and electronics and cables for railway applications.

The fair will take place in halls 16 and 20, which will see part of the exhibition space dedicated to the track area, showcasing products and equipment mounted on rails. That will be the highlight of this section together with the area dedicated to the tunnelling segment, developed in collaboration with Società Italiana Gallerie (SIG – Italian Tunnelling Association), which is an area that intends to create more opportunities for exhibitors and a greater attraction for visiting professionals of the industry.
