IMCD will be exhibiting at Saudi Arabia Coatings Show 2025 to showcase its innovations within the coatings and construction industry globally.

IMCD is set to highlight its technical expertise and insight into market trends at the Saudi Arabia Coatings Show (SACS) 2025, taking place from 13th to 15th May in Dammam (Saudi Arabia).

“Our new laboratory in Dubai is fully equipped to support customers across the Middle East and especially here in Saudi Arabia. It’s all about being closer to the market, understanding local needs, and working side by side with our partners to develop smarter and more sustainable solutions,” has stated Manuel Baumann, IMCD Middle East Director.

In a strategic move to enhance its regional footprint, IMCD expanded its operations in the Middle East in March 2025 with the opening of a new office and a dedicated Coatings & Construction laboratory in Dubai. The facility is equipped to provide advanced formulation support and bespoke solutions for customers across the region. It facilitates close collaboration with clients, offering assistance from raw material selection to product development, and is designed to address complex formulation challenges while keeping pace with the latest market trends.

Demonstrating its commitment to anticipating and responding to industry developments, IMCD has also released the third edition of its Trends Commentary: Building Tomorrow. Based on responses from over 150 customers across the Middle East and Africa, the 2025–2026 IMCD Coatings & Construction Global Customer Trends Survey reveals key megatrends shaping the industry:

  • Green & Circular
  • Healthy Future
  • Efficiency

Within the Middle East, the survey highlights a growing emphasis on reducing VOC emissions—both indoors and outdoors—minimising waste, and formulating user-friendly products. These insights are actively guiding IMCD’s technical experts in developing next-generation formulations that respond to changing customer demands.

“For us at IMCD, doing business the right way means delivering products, offering real technical support, driving innovation, and staying committed to sustainability. The Saudi Arabia Coatings Show is a great opportunity for us to connect with our partners and show how we are contributing to the industry’s progress. From our expert talks to our live demos, everything we are showcasing is backed by the capabilities of our network of global laboratories,” has added Walid Abounassif, Business Unit Manager, IMCD Saudi Arabia.

For the first time in Saudi Arabia, IMCD will also host Expert4Experts talks at its stand. These concise sessions, led by IMCD’s technical specialists, will present formulation strategies developed using materials from IMCD’s supplier partners, addressing local industry challenges in decorative paints, industrial coatings, and construction chemicals.

Presentation topics will include:

  • Formulating water-based direct-to-metal coatings
  • Developing water-based 2K epoxy systems for metal applications
  • Polyaspartic formulations: practical tips for success
  • High-performance cementitious tile adhesives
  • Microcement formulations for contemporary finishes
  • Enhancing premium decorative paints with functional fillers
  • Maximising carbon black jetness for inks and industrial uses
