AkzoNobel’s leading powder coating brand integrates with national database to bolster compliance and sustainability. The partnership is designed to provide architects, engineers, and fabricators with seamless access to high-performance, compliant coating solutions directly within the industry’s primary digital toolkit.

Interpon, the flagship powder coating brand of global paints and coatings supplier AkzoNobel, has officially joined forces with NATSPEC, Australia’s national building specification system.

As a recognised Product Partner of the not-for-profit organisation, Interpon’s architectural ranges are now integrated into the NATSPEC work sections. This move eliminates the need for manual technical searches, allowing professionals to specify products with improved speed and reduced risk of error.

Elevated Durability and Warranty Standards The collaboration highlights Interpon’s premium D2525 and D3020 ranges. These super- and hyper-durable coatings are engineered for the harsh Australian climate, offering superior weather resistance and gloss retention. Underpinning this reliability, AkzoNobel has extended its warranty offerings:

  • D2525 Range: Colour retention warranty increased from 15 to 20 years.
  • D3020 Range: Film integrity warranty extended to 35 years, with colour retention now covered for up to 30 years.

The D2525 range also forms part of Interpon’s Sustainable Solutions collection. These products meet rigorous, data-backed environmental criteria, enabling architects to meet green building goals without sacrificing aesthetic finish or project budget.

“By integrating Interpon into a trusted system like NATSPEC, we are creating a clearer, more efficient pathway for the industry to access the local technical support and durability they require,” has stated Simon Timmins, Regional Commercial Director at AkzoNobel Powder Coatings.
