The donation

The J. Wagner GmbH company and its employees supported Kinderstiftung Bodensee for the Creating Possibilities project.

As part of the 2021 Christmas celebrations, the J. Wagner GmbH company and all its employees have donated €55,555 to support Kinderstiftung Bodensee, a Lake Constance children’s charity helping disadvantaged children and young people in the local area.

The employees transferred their money directly to the organisation or donated their residual leave or flex-time, with Sandra Thiede donating even 50 of her flex-time hours for the project. The company has then doubled the collected amount and the directors rounded up the sum, reaching a total of 55,555 euros.

Maren Dronia, the project manager and member of the board of trustees Robert Scherer received the donation check on behalf of Kinderstiftung Bodensee: “This is an unbelievable result that we never expected. We’d like to thank J. Wagner GmbH and all of your employees who so generously supported the campaign! We can do so much good for the children with this amount of money.”

“We started the Christmas donations campaign to do something good together as a company. It was clear from the start that we wanted to support a project in our own locality,” stated Veronika Daue, GVP Human Resources DF.

“Working together, the whole team at J. Wagner GmbH has done something amazing here – we had not counted on raising so much in donations, but are delighted to have done so. With the donations collected and the contribution from the company we can start a wonderful project with Kinderstiftung Bodensee and help children and young people in the local area!” also added Jaqueline Schiele, GVP Human Resources IS.

The donation will be used to develop a new project, called Creating Possibilities, that will promote extracurricular activities in the fields of music, sport and culture. The children and the young people from the Lake Constance region will have the chance to take part in club activities, to learn a musical instrument or to attend a holiday activity. The programme will allow them to nurture their personal skills, as well as enabling participation and enhancing individual talents.

“With the ‘Creating Possibilities’ project and thanks to the financial support of J. Wagner GmbH, Kinderstiftung Bodensee can add another pillar to our existing projects with the aim of alleviating the intangible hardship faced by children and young people in the Lake Constance region and supporting their personal development. The Christmas campaign for donations at WAGNER in Markdorf and its awesome result of 55,555 euros makes it possible to give this project the best possible start and to secure the first months and years of its life. For this, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the directors, managers, and workers on behalf of our charity,” commented Petra Demmer, the managing director of Kinderstiftung Bodensee.
