For the 2nd consecutive year, PPG is one of America’s Most Responsible Companies according to Newsweek.

PPG has recently announced it has been named as one of the 2022 America’s Most Responsible Companies by the magazine Newsweek for the second consecutive year.

The list honours the 500 most responsible US-based companies through 13 different industry categories. PPG has ranked 11 in the “Materials and Chemicals” category and 88 overall, improving its previous placements respectively by two and forty-two spots.

“’Protect and Beautify the World’ isn’t just our company’s purpose; it’s our way of working and living every day at PPG. PPG’s inclusion in this coveted ranking underscores our commitment to industry-leading ESG practices, and our improvement across all measurable areas highlights our continued progress,” commented Diane Kappas, PPG’s VP for global sustainability.

The companies in the list were selected through publicly available key performance indicators deriving from Corporate Social Responsibility Reports, Sustainability Reports and Corporate Citizenship Reports, as well as an independent survey. While the key performance indicators focused on company performance in the environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) areas, the independent survey asked U.S. citizens about their perception of company activities related to corporate social responsibility.

PPG has been awarded because it has continuously reduced the environmental impact of the operations, developed products that enhance customers’ sustainability and engaged with local communities by supporting their essential needs.
