Passivating for galvanized coil CROMCOAT CR 646
Condoroil has recently developed a new formulation for the passivation of galvanized coils.
The product has been named with the acronym CROMCOAT CR 646 and it differs from the current CR 644 since it has a double active components concentration.
With the use of the formulation there are no technical changes in the application and / or performance but simply a reduction in the cost of use of the product resulting from lower specific purchasing and logistics costs.
CROMCOAT CR 646 is a product specifically formulated to give a HIGH YIELD, in the passivation of hot-dip galvanized surfaces (HDG).
The YIELD HIGH of CROMCOAT CR 646 ensures a strong reduction of the concentrated product consumption compared to the trivalent chromium passivating normally in use. This facilitates the customer in having a reduced handling of tanks and consequently it reduces the space for storage.
It is usually used with a roller applicator, chemical coater or spray and squeege. After passivation with CR 646 the galvanized coil must be dried in such a way that the surface reaches a PMT higher than 50°C.
CROMCOAT CR 646 is a passivating totally free of hexavalent chromium and fluorides.
It allows to ensure a corrosion resistance that exceeds the highest demands of the market ensuring excellent wettability and uniformity of the support (WR <5% after 100 h NSS with 30 mg / m2 deposit).
The trivalent chromium deposit to be applied varies between 15 and 40 mg / m2 (Figs. 1 e 2), depending on the treated substrate, the corrosion resistance that you want to give or that the customer requires.
The product is also compatible with the majority of fluids used in the skinpassing phase.
CONDORBOARD Paint: for coil with blackboard effect
Board effect is a must for the home décor. In the market there are different paints DIY with "board" effect that can be used to decorate homes, walls, furniture, cabinets, appliances, light fixtures, doors…
Everything can be painted giving new life to furnishings, proving to be very useful to write memos, shopping lists, appointments etc.
Condoroil Chemical, always in step with the times and fashions, created the new CONDORBOARD, a "board" coating effect for coil coating (Fig. 3). The CONDORBOARD product is mainly used on metal coated steels (eg. Hot-dip galvanized) or aluminum in order to obtain a coating with blackboard effect. Once dried, it is possible to write on the coil surface with normal blackboard chalks. The inscriptions are cleared quickly by simply using a dry cloth. CONDORBOARD is a water-based product which can be applied as it is, dipping, spraying or by the use a chemical coater. A perfect drying of the product is obtained reaching a PMT of 80°C.
If applied on HDG it presents the advantage of obtaining a magnetic blackboard effect product, thus allowing the application of memo and pictures with the help of a simple magnet.
