The new issue of the magazine dedicated to covering all aspects of industrial parts cleaning is available!

Two worlds, one surface

From 2027, ICT – Industrial Cleaning Technologies, the magazine dedicated to industrial cleaning technologies, surface preparation, deburring, polishing, and vibratory finishing, will change its format: it will no longer be published as a standalone supplement to ipcm®, but will become a full-fledged section within the magazine.

This is a deliberate editorial decision, based on a simple consideration: cleaning and finishing are not separate stages but closely interlinked parts of the same industrial process. A surface that has been properly cleaned, degreased, and, when necessary, subjected to mechanical preparation is the starting point for achieving an effective, long-lasting finish that meets the required aesthetic and performance standards.

In fact, this synergy has been put into practice since ICT was founded. Twice a year, in May and November, the ipcm® specials focusing on the automotive and ACE/OFF-ROAD vehicle sectors, respectively, have already served as a natural meeting point between the world of coating and that of industrial cleaning and mechanical surface preparation.

This change for 2027 stems directly from the decision to transform this synergy from a one-off opportunity into a structural editorial strategy. This will benefit our readers, who will be able to leverage a comprehensive understanding of the industrial surface finishing process to enhance or integrate their own production workflows. Above all, it will benefit our advertising clients, as their technical content and solutions will reach a wider and more diverse audience, including finishing professionals and process managers working even downstream. After all, the quality of a surface is determined long before the finishing stage, and by presenting these technologies together, we can provide the industry with a more thorough, practical, and realistic insight into actual production processes.

This integration will also lead to greater circulation of knowledge about industrial cleaning, a more prominent presence at numerous international trade fairs in the sector, and a greater ability to engage with stakeholders across overlapping industrial supply chains.

Added to this is a further distinctive feature: ipcm® is not a bilingual publication in which English and Italian coexist on the same pages, but rather a set of two distinct editions, each in a single language and tailored to different markets and readerships. This will enable ICT’s content to gain even greater international recognition.

The aim, therefore, is not to reduce the space allocated to ICT, but rather to evolve this editorial project to maximise opportunities for market engagement and to pool audiences, content, distribution, and trade-fair presence, thereby enhancing the value of both magazines.
