At the Builders Roadshow 2026, among the most significant innovations for the construction sector were industrial coatings and paint solutions specifically designed for metal and steel, aimed at enhancing durability, corrosion resistance, and the aesthetic quality of buildings. The event highlighted how these technologies can be integrated into comprehensive renovation projects, contributing to more sustainable, safe, and high-performing buildings, while optimising maintenance and the lifecycle of materials.

The Italian leg of the Builders Roadshow 2026, part of the international Paris Builders Show tour, showcased Italian and European perspectives on comprehensive building renovation. Hosted at the Sala Giunta of Assimpredil/ANCE, the event brought together experts, institutions, and industry professionals to discuss innovation, sustainability, and building performance.

Key topics at the Roadshow included energy efficiency, residential comfort, the circular economy, and the use of data in building management. Notable presentations included:

  • Marco Caffi, Director of GBC Italia, on the Italian approach to sustainability and low-carbon strategies.
  • Patrizia Pistochini, ENEA, on the European EU-PEERS project and energy certification.
  • Jean-Philippe Guillon, Director of Paris Builders Show, and Rachel Chermain, CEO of Alliance HQE-GBC, on European perspectives on building renovation.

Within the multi-specialist Batimat exhibition, part of the Paris Builders Show, exhibitors are expected from the surface materials sector, including protective coatings and industrial paints for metal and steel, reflecting the event’s multi-sector approach and the focus on durability, performance, and sustainability in renovation projects.

The Roadshow also previewed some of the activities of the Paris Builders Show 2026 (28 September – 1 October, Paris Expo, Porte de Versailles), including:

  • Renodays, a forum on comprehensive building renovation with conferences, masterclasses, and practical workshops.
  • Batimat, Interclima, and Idéobain, exhibitions dedicated to innovations in sustainable construction, climate engineering, and design.
  • Networking opportunities and guided tours, promoting the exchange of expertise among professionals, public institutions, and private operators.

As highlighted by attending experts, renovation today goes beyond energy performance: it is a global, human-centred, and strategic process that puts residents at the heart, enhances real estate value, and integrates innovative technologies.

The Builders Roadshow confirms the Paris Builders Show’s role as an international reference point for the construction sector, combining community, performance, inspiration, and a global dimension in a single experience of exchange and professional development.
