The revamping service of Eurotherm allows to achieve the same production goals while saving up to 50%.

Eurotherm has presented a new service which allows shot-blasting and painting booths to be revamped when they reach a level of wear such as to no longer be able to guarantee the high production and quality performances required. Instead of decommissioning and replacing them when they reach the end of their productive life, the company's intervention makes it possible to effectively achieve the pre-established production goals saving up to 50%.

After an in-depth assessment during the inspection of the company that will request its services, Eurotherm technicians will implement a series of interventions aimed at updating the structure of the existing shot-blasting or painting booth with the aim of restoring its full functionality and to improve it compared to the past, without neglecting ergonomics and the quality of the working environment.

“The future of a competitive company also depends on high-performance systems, which allow production goals to be achieved effectively and with the least possible waste of resources in terms of time, personnel, energy costs and materials. With revamping, it is possible to obtain excellent results, saving up to 50% on the total cost of a new plant”, declared Paolo Ghiazza, CEO of Eurotherm S.p.A.

As a matter of fact, the booths can be upgraded with IE3 electric motors and inverters, which are more efficient and less energy consuming. In addition, anti-abrasion plates will be added to the walls and roof together with lamps with lexan protection screens and LED lighting. Finally, the sand-blasting system with original Clemco accessories, the grit recovery system (conveyor belts, scrapers, auger, separator, elevator and silos) and the external dust collector cartridge filter can be restored or modernised.

“These types of work are indispensable after a few years of intense use, since sandblasting is an operation that, by its own very nature, entails high wear and tear on all the components involved. For these reasons, we always recommend carrying out a complete check-up of the plant through a regular scheduled routine maintenance in order to prevent breakdowns or unwanted production blockages and to revamp the booths when necessary, so as not to sacrifice productivity”, concluded Alessandro Degli Emili, Eurotherm Project Manager.
