With an audience of 50,000 visitors, the event showcased sector progress with product launches and technical content.
The 16th edition of Fesqua
– Feira Internacional da Indústria de Esquadrias concluded its schedule by consolidating the advancement of the window, door, glass, and facade industry in Brazil. Held from September 9 to 12 at São Paulo Expo, the fair brought together 50,000 visitors and over 700 exhibiting brands, which presented more than 1,500 new products, amidst an agenda marked by launches, new technologies, technical content, and networking opportunities between companies and professionals from across the production chain.
The 2026 edition also featured the simultaneous staging of Fesqua Vetro – Feira Internacional de Esquadrias e Vidros para Construção Civil, Feipat – Feira da Patologia das Construções, and EBRATS
– Encontro Brasileiro de Tratamento de Superfície, broadening the connection between different segments linked to industry and civil construction.
For Luis Tavares, director of Grupo Contramarco, Fesqua's trajectory mirrors the very transformation of the window and door industry in Brazil, which has undergone a process of greater professionalisation, incorporation of new technologies, and a greater emphasis on the technical performance of solutions. "This was the largest edition in Fesqua's history, cementing itself as an absolute benchmark for the sector. The fair raises the market's standard, becoming the primary stage for launching new products and innovations. The vast majority of exhibitors expressed satisfaction and have already confirmed their presence for 2028."
According to the executive, automation was one of the main highlights of this edition, responding to one of the industry's major current demands. "Automation is gaining more and more ground in the industry; it is an indispensable solution to overcome labour shortages. For 2028, I project an even greater advance in this regard, as technology will be fundamental to meeting this sector demand. In a challenging year, seeing business being closed in the aisles is very rewarding, as it reinforces that Fesqua is, indeed, an event focused essentially on results."
Rimantas Sipas, COO of IEG Brasil (Italian Exhibition Group), highlighted primarily the quality of the audience present and the fair's ability to bring together companies and professionals with concrete interests. "Our assessment of Fesqua is very positive. We managed to bring together professionals genuinely interested in the solutions presented by the exhibitors, which makes the fair a very favourable environment for generating business."
The next edition of Fesqua is already confirmed for September 12 to 15, 2028, at São Paulo Expo. The fair will now run from Tuesday to Friday, without including Saturday in the schedule—a change that, according to Tavares, reinforces the focus on networking and commercial negotiations.
In addition to the exhibition area, Fesqua 2026 promoted a technical programme aimed at various audiences within the production chain. The first edition of ENEPE – Encontro Nacional dos Engenheiros e Projetistas de Esquadrias e Fachadas brought professionals together to discuss topics such as structural sizing, specification, project execution, cost engineering, and pathologies in windows, doors, and facades.
The 19th VidroSom debated trends related to building performance, construction monitoring, and the creation of healthier environments. Among the topics addressed were the use of drones for facade inspection and the importance of integration between glass and windows/doors to ensure adequate acoustic and thermal performance.
The programme also included the XVI Sebraser – Seminário Brasileiro de Serralheria, Summit Arq, the AFEAL Meeting, and COBRACON, featuring discussions on management, sales, sustainability, artificial intelligence, new product categories, and industry challenges.
Held simultaneously with Fesqua, Feipat expanded the debate on building maintenance, inspection, and preservation. For Felipe Lima, director of ADPAT and organiser of the event, the integration between the events strengthens knowledge sharing across different areas of construction. "Feipat exceeded expectations. We had professionals interested in technical knowledge and in doing good business. More than just a fair, the goal is to create an environment of exchange, learning, and development, connecting companies, professionals, academia, and students. We are already thinking about the next edition, seeking to further expand this experience for the market."
Exhibitors' perceptions reinforced Fesqua's role as a strategic environment for relationships, showcasing new products, and generating commercial opportunities. Companies from different segments highlighted the quality of the visiting public, interest in the solutions presented, and the fair's relevance in bringing manufacturers, partners, specifiers, and new clients closer together.
For Blindex, the main highlight of the 2026 edition was the quality of interactions throughout the event. According to Glória Cardoso, general manager of the company, the stand welcomed clients, partners, specifiers, and potential new business opportunities, with an audience keen to discuss concrete possibilities.
This positive assessment was also shared by Hydro, which has participated in Fesqua since its very first edition. According to Marcelo Rodrigues, the company's commercial director, the fair remains a strategic space to present innovations, strengthen relationships, and prospect new opportunities. In this edition, the company highlighted the receptivity to its new product launches and the presence of loyal clients, new contacts, and export market representatives.
The drive for innovation and the search for new solutions were also reflected in Projeto Alumínio's assessment. According to Jefferson Lousa, the company's CEO, Fesqua brings together clients, partners, and major construction companies from all over Brazil, and the results go beyond business concluded during the event, generating opportunities that continue to develop after the fair. The company also highlighted the positive reception of the Aluance line, presented in this edition as a new aesthetic option for architectural applications.
