Heubach is introducing a new high performance orange aqueous pigment preparation for durable coating solutions.
The Heubach Group, an international provider of comprehensive colour solutions, has recently announced that it is expanding its Colanyl 500 pigment preparations range with Colanyl Orange H5GD 500, a solution to better illustrate brilliant orange colour shades.
Colanyl Orange H5GD 500 is a yellowish orange pigment that closes the gap of available waterborne orange preparations. The new addition to Heubach’s portfolio allows the customers to match bright orange shades with high performance and improves the stability of Pigment Orange 62 in waterborne applications.
The Colanyl 500 range did not include an orange shade. Now, the new Colanyl Orange H5GD 500 can then be used to create pure yellow/orange shades. It has superior light fastness, 24-month shelf life and low-VOCs and it is DCB, label and binder-free.
“Pigment Orange 62 pigments are difficult to stabilize in waterborne preparations or coatings which is why our R&D has focused on developing this advanced Colanyl Orange H5GD 500. It is stable in all its properties with no tendency towards sedimentation, its rheology profile and its color properties, required to deliver outstanding accuracy on all scales. This means complexity in planning, production, handling and quality on the customer side can be reduced. Additionally, the shelf life of the product is 24 months, it is easy to handle and has broad compatibility in various paint systems,” has declared Franziska Hammerl, the head of the Decorative & Wood Coatings segment at The Heubach Group.
All Colanyl 500 preparations are compatible in all proportions with each other. The new pigment is suitable for architectural and aqueous industrial coatings and flooring and is also applicable for in-plant and Point-of-Sale tinting.
