The new Interpon D2525 range of powder coatings from AkzoNobel merges timeless elegance with modern durability.

AkzoNobel has introduced the Interpon D2525 Terracotta Effect Collection, a range of superdurable powder coatings designed to capture the enduring appeal of terracotta for contemporary architectural projects — without the practical drawbacks of the natural material.

The collection features 12 colours inspired by the rich heritage of Moroccan ceramics, encompassing traditional earthy reds alongside glazed forest greens, azure blues and warm yellows. Building on the acclaimed durability of the Interpon D range, these coatings offer exceptional colour retention and film integrity, all achieved with a single coat.

“Our customers want façades that emulate this increasingly popular material, yet also require a robust, long-lasting, vibrant finish at a practical cost. This collection meets those demands and exemplifies our ongoing commitment to innovation. We don’t just follow trends — we help shape them, inspiring our customers with fresh ideas and inventive solutions to bring their visions to life,” has explained Jorrit van Rijn, Global Marketing Director at AkzoNobel Powder Coatings.

The architectural Interpon D powder coatings come with up to 25 years’ global warranty on coating performance when applied by an Interpon D Approved Applicator. The collection holds Qualicoat Class 2 and GSB Master certifications and complies with AAMA 2604 performance standards. Supported by an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), the range’s raw materials, manufacturing process and transportation have undergone independent third-party assessment, ensuring transparent sustainability credentials.
