The new Industrial Coating Application is an interactive programme developed by AMPP to allow future workers in the coatings industry to acquire high-technical skills and knowledge.

The Association for Materials Protection and Performance AMPP has launched the new Industrial Coating Application (ICA) Training Program, an all-in-one course designed for training future sprayers and abrasive blasters. It is suitable for both professionals new to the workforce and experienced individuals seeking to gain industry-recognised credentials.

The ICA programme is flexible but however complete. As a matter of fact, the attendees can gain practical skills and knowledge in a dynamic learning environment thanks to captivating teaching programmes, hands-on workshops and instructional videos.

“Unlike our traditional Education programs, this is a customisable learning experience that allows the contractor or training provider to customise the learning experience while still earning AMPP recognition,” has stated Alicia Yust, Director of Learning and Development.

The subscription-based service provides also a comprehensive access to resources such as workbooks, hands-on experiences and presentation materials. The industrial blaster module is focused on abrasive blasting fundamentals, consequently accelerating the learning process for those in training. On the other hand, the industrial sprayer module includes a concentrated and concrete approach to sprayer training – thus covering the coating fundamentals, receiving and storage and the application techniques.

“The program is designed for success. We created this program with two specific audiences in mind after closely listening to our customers' needs. Contractors can align training with project timelines, meet AMPP Qualification Procedure (QP) training needs and prepare employees for relevant certifications like C7, C12 and CAS. Training providers can establish a partnership with AMPP, set pricing and play a pivotal role in helping recruit and train those new to the industry,” has concluded Sara Badami, Manager of Education Operations.
