Covestro will showcase its contributions to aesthetics, functionality and sustainability for designers.

For the first time, Covestro will take part at the Milan Design Week, that will take place from 6th to 12th June 2022 in Milan (Italy). The company will be represented in the Superstudio Più, which hosts an exhibition curated by Materially, and will showcase material solutions that will allow designers to create added value.

With the design sector currently undergoing a major transformation and focusing on circular economy, as well as on functional and aesthetic aspects, at the Fuori Salone Milan Covestro will target designers and CMF (Colour – Material – Finish) professionals to explain its tangible developments and contributions to aesthetics, functionality and sustainability. The showcase will include a sample library and also digital aesthetics toolkits.

“Together with these important target groups, we are also developing scalable design solutions with a focus on circularity and higher volume production. For inspiration and to start the dialogue, we offer them various aesthetics toolkits that explain the visual and tactile properties of our polycarbonates and other materials, and also introduce 24 trendy color,” has stated Christopher Stillings, Head of Color & Design in the Engineering Plastics segment at Covestro.

In addition, on 10th June Covestro will unveil the second edition of its CMF trend reports in collaboration with the Shanghai Tongji University, the Shanghai Jiaotong University and the Good Matter Design agency. The three reports for the automotive, electrical and electronics as well as healthcare industries provide useful insights and key themes into global trends in consumer lifestyles.
