Always working to offer readers the latest industry insights.

November, for the editors of ipcm®, was full of trade fairs and events, as well as editorial commitments to provide our readers with the latest industry news and insights.

With regards to trade fairs, part of the team flew to Madrid to participate in the fair dedicated to the metallurgical industry, MetalMadrid, and to Copenhagen to attend Wind Europe, the annual event dedicated to wind energy. In the meanwhile, other members of the editorial staff remained in Milan to take part in MadeExpo.

November was also one of the months with the most trade fairs in which our magazines are media partners: there have been 12 trade fairs in the last 30 days in which the ipcm® publications were distributed.

Finally, on the 17th we participated in the annual meeting dedicated to the members of UCIF, the Italian Surface Treatment Equipment Manufacturers’ Association. The meeting, focused on the theme of industry 4.0, took place at the MADE Competence Center, where the participants had the opportunity to attend practical demonstrations relating to the latest technologies developed (additive manufacturing, artificial intelligence, big data analysis, etc.)

Two new issues

In November we published the last issue of the year of ipcm® International Paint&Coating Magazine, which traditionally contains the ACE and off-road vehicles special, as well as the ICT_Industrial Cleaning Technologies insert. A number full of success stories and innovations, deepening the re-shoring trend, i.e., the return of companies to a local dimension to enhance their country (or continent) of origin by bringing back economic activities that had been transferred abroad.

The two new issues of ipcm_Ibérica & ipcm_LatinoAmérica – the magazines dedicated to the sector of surface treatments and organic and inorganic finishes aimed at the Spanish and Portuguese markets – have also been published in the last 30 days.

Training continues

The second session of the ipcm®_Academy course ended in November, with great enthusiasm and participation from the trainees. Furthermore, on the 14th, the lecturers of the course met to finalise the 2022 programme of the training course for Industrial Surface Finishing Process Technologists.

The big news for next year is the new training day dedicated to the coating of plastic materials, a recent and still niche process in the world of coating. It is a highly specialized sector with limited dissemination of technical skills.
