CAVISONIC Enters Industrial Ultrasonic Cleaning Market

Date: 06/10/2026

The German company CAVISONIC Cleaning Solutions brings together established ultrasonic expertise, in-house transducer manufacturing and technology for new installations, retrofits and OEM applications.

CAVISONIC Cleaning Solutions GmbH has entered the industrial ultrasonic cleaning market, with the newly established German company building up its own manufacturing capabilities at its headquarters in Pforzheim.

Founded in 2026 and operational since September, CAVISONIC is focusing on ultrasonic cleaning technology for industrial applications, combining transducer manufacturing, generator technology, application engineering and technical support. Although the company is new, its founding team brings many years of practical experience in industrial ultrasonic technology, cleaning processes and customer applications.

“We are starting with a new company, but not from zero. We can build on many years of experience in industrial ultrasonic technology while having the opportunity to rethink products, processes and customer service. Our starting point is not the product we want to sell, but the cleaning task that has to be solved. Only after understanding the application do, we define the appropriate ultrasonic configuration,” has stated Julian Wind, Chief Commercial Officer at CAVISONIC

CAVISONIC develops and manufactures immersible, rod and plate transducer systems alongside matching ultrasonic generators. The company says its approach begins with the cleaning application rather than an individual product specification. Factors including component geometry, contamination, cleaning medium, tank design and required surface quality are considered when determining how ultrasonic energy should be introduced into the process.

The CaviSub immersible transducers are designed for both new cleaning systems and the retrofit of existing tanks. They operate across frequencies from 25 to 132 kHz, with project-specific solutions extending into the MHz range. Power ratings range from 300 to 2,000 W per transducer, while several units can be combined for larger tanks. Standard housings are manufactured from V4A stainless steel, with Hastelloy and other specialist materials available for demanding or corrosive media.

For deep or narrow tanks, complex component geometries and applications where installation space is restricted, CAVISONIC offers its CaviRod rod transducers. The cylindrical systems distribute ultrasonic energy around their active length and are available with power ratings of up to 2,000 W and active lengths exceeding 1,200 mm. Depending on the application, CaviRod units can be manufactured from high-strength titanium alloys, stainless steel or pure titanium. The company's transducer portfolio also includes CaviPlate plate transducer solutions.

Rather than treating generators and transducers as independent components, CAVISONIC considers them parts of a single functional ultrasonic system. Its CaviGen generator range covers power ratings from 50 to 2,000 W per unit and can be cascaded for larger installations. Output is continuously adjustable between 10 and 100 per cent, while sweep and pulse operating modes allow the ultrasonic field to be adapted to different cleaning processes.

“The nominal power alone does not tell you whether an ultrasonic system will deliver the required cleaning result. What matters is how the energy is transferred into the liquid and whether the resulting cavitation reaches the areas of the component that actually need to be cleaned,” has explained Julian Wind.

Retrofitting existing industrial cleaning systems represents another area of focus for CAVISONIC. Where tanks, peripherals and the underlying cleaning process remain suitable, the company says complete system replacement may not be necessary. Existing tanks can instead be fitted with new transducers and generator technology configured for the individual installation.

Such upgrades can also provide an opportunity to introduce improved control capabilities and integrate existing cleaning equipment into automated production environments. CAVISONIC also provides maintenance, repair and technical support for selected existing ultrasonic systems originally supplied by other manufacturers, where its team has the required technical expertise.

“Full service does not mean claiming that we can support every ultrasonic system on the market. It means taking responsibility where we understand the technology in sufficient depth to provide the customer with a reliable solution,” has added Julian Wind.

The company is also targeting partnerships with machine manufacturers, OEMs and system integrators. CAVISONIC can supply transducer and generator technology for integration into larger cleaning systems and production lines, allowing manufacturers to incorporate ultrasonic technology without developing the components internally.

Individually configured tank solutions are also available for partners seeking to market cleaning equipment under their own brand, with both white-label and co-branding models possible. Under this approach, equipment manufacturers retain responsibility for the overall machine and customer relationship while integrating CAVISONIC's specialist ultrasonic technology.

Keeping transducer production in-house is intended to create closer links between application engineering, manufacturing and service, particularly for projects involving non-standard dimensions, specialist materials or customised installation configurations.

The company is targeting applications across metalworking, surface treatment and electroplating, automotive, semiconductor and electronics production, precision engineering and aerospace-related industries.
