The €2 million investment marks a significant new phase of global expansion for Cortec, with the facility scheduled to open next October.

EcoCortec®, specialising in the production of environmentally friendly VCI protective films, has officially begun construction of a new logistics center in Beli Manastir.

The new 1500 m2 hub will consolidate all warehousing and logistics under one roof, expanding the company's current operations in the region. By keeping all inventory in a single location, EcoCortec aims to simplify its supply chain, accelerate customer deliveries, and reduce its overall environmental footprint. Croatian firm Massa, a long-term construction partner for EcoCortec, has been selected as the main contractor.

"By consolidating our warehousing, this expansion will drastically improve our operational efficiency, allowing us to deliver faster, superior, and more competitive service to our global customer base. I am especially proud that this is a green investment. By repurposing existing facilities, we are putting the circular economy into practice,” has stated Boris Miksic, CEO and owner of parent company Cortec® Corporation.

Local leadership, including Beli Manastir Mayor Igor Pavelic, attended the groundbreaking ceremony, celebrating a successful 20-year public-private partnership in the city’s Industrial Zone.

A major catalyst for this renewed investment wave is the completion of the Croatian section of Corridor 5C. The opening of the final five kilometres of the highway leading toward Hungary has significantly boosted investor interest in the local Business Zone.

“The idea of building EcoCortec in this zone was based on the planned highway right next to us. Since it opened, we are much closer to our customers and faster in our deliveries. Croatia has proven to be an excellent location for high-tech manufacturing, validating his decision to invest in the country. EcoCortec’s global exports continue to showcase and promote locally developed green technologies on a worldwide scale,” has noted Dijana Zrinski, EcoCortec's General Manager.
