Covestro has announced the appointment of Isauro de la Fuente as the new Managing Director of Covestro Mexico. The corporate move is part of an organisational evolution aimed at strengthening the business and capturing new growth opportunities within the country.

De la Fuente will officially step into his new role on 1st July. He succeeds Arturo Molina, who is set to become the Managing Director of Covestro Spain from 1st October 2026. This planned transition highlights the company’s focus on international talent mobility and robust internal development strategies.

An alumnus of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) with a degree in Chemical Engineering, de la Fuente brings over 20 years of experience in the chemical and specialised materials sectors. Throughout his career, he has held strategic positions in sales management, sustainable housing projects, and construction chemicals. During his tenure at Covestro, he has successfully led key manufacturing initiatives, commercial strategies, and regional marketing projects across Latin America.

In his new capacity, de la Fuente will focus on consolidating Covestro's market presence in Mexico, driving sustainable growth, operational excellence, and delivering innovative solutions to key industrial sectors.

The leadership change comes at a milestone moment for the company: 2026 marks the 70th anniversary of the Santa Clara Plant in Ecatepec, State of Mexico. For seven decades, this facility has remained a cornerstone of Covestro’s operations, symbolising its long-term commitment to innovation and sustainability in the Mexican market.
