This launch marks the second product in Venator’s growing portfolio of TMP- and TME-free pigments, following the introduction of TIOXIDE® TR81 earlier this year.
Venator has announced the launch of its TMP- and TME-free TIOXIDE® TR85 pigment—part of a new generation of reformulated titanium dioxide (TiO₂) products.
Specifically engineered for the coatings industry, TIOXIDE® TR85 has successfully passed numerous large-scale commercial trials. Several customers have already made a seamless transition to this TMP-free formulation, which is now fully available on the market. The pigment is ideally suited for use in both interior and exterior tint bases and waterborne coatings, offering excellent weather resistance.
“Behind the scenes, our technical teams have been working diligently to reformulate our entire coatings portfolio. TIOXIDE® TR85 is the second in a series of new offerings, with further product releases planned in the coming months,” has stated Nicolas Joly, Executive Vice-President of Commercial at Venator.
