To meet the growing market demands, DOMO Chemicals will invest over €14 million.
The manufacturer of engineered materials DOMO Chemicals has announced a long-term investment plan in China to expand the production capacity of the high-performance polyamides range TECHNYL®.
In order to provide for the growing market demands for polyamide materials in the automotive, electrical and electronics and industrial consumer goods industries, DOMO Chemicals is improving and expanding its production in the Jiaxin site. The investment plan will be developed in three stages:
- The company has already made available an additional 6,000 tons of capacity.
- DOMO Chemicals will complete a new 35,000-ton plant in Haiyan in the third quarter of 2023, in which it has invested more than €14 million.
- The company will further expand the plant, gradually increasing its capacity to 50,000 tons.
The plant will also use renewable energy, adopt advanced water and air treatment technologies to reduce water consumption and CO2 emissions and fully comply with Health, Safety and Environmental Management System (HSE) regulations.
The TECHNYL products range
The TECHNYL products range offers excellent flame retardancy and high temperature, chemical and impact resistance to OEMs that need to create lightweight, durable, aesthetically pleasing, smart and environmentally-friendly products:
- TECHNYL 4 EARTH is an environmentally friendly product based on recyclable materials and certified for CO2 reduction.
- TECHNYL PURE is an electrically neutral product for highly sensitive, high-purity electronic and fuel cell systems.
- TECHNYL SHAPE is an easy-to-process product specifically designed for extrusion and blow moulding processes.
In addition, the DOMAMID®, ECONAMID® and THERMEC™ engineered material solution brands have also been combined under the TECHNYL brand to form the new TECHNYL high-performance polyamide family.
