Four students from the University of Oviedo, Spain, secure internships at Axalta Coating Systems

Axalta Coating Systems, a leading global supplier of liquid and powder coatings, today confirmed its offer of internships to four graduates of the University of Oviedo, Spain, at its solemn and prestigious graduation ceremony of Santa Catalina, patron of the academic institution, when the final year awards are bestowed. The four students secured the internship places thanks to the outstanding results they achieved in their chosen fields.

Juan Antonio Rodriguez, Human Resources Manager for Axalta in Iberia and Italy, who presented the students with their awards for academic excellence at the graduation ceremony, says, "We have been very impressed by the achievements of these four graduates. Axalta not only wants to congratulate them on their success today, but also is keen to enable these hard-working, capable young talents to apply their theoretical knowledge in a dynamic, international business environment."

The students, who will begin their six-month internships early in 2016 at Axalta's offices in Asturias, Spain, in the finance, human resources or procurement departments, are: Ana Fernández Oraa, a student of administration and company management; David Boto García, an economics graduate; Estefanía González Piedra, who studied labour relations and human resources; and Sergio Álvarez Pérez, a graduate of accounting and finance.

Axalta has been working closely with the University of Oviedo since September 2015. The programme is one of Axalta's many collaborations with educational institutions around the world, all of which focus on helping the future generation of leaders in business, science, technology, engineering and mathematics to develop practical skills.
