The Colour Collection marks a significant moment for Graphenstone and English Heritage, offering colour with conscience for today’s discerning decorators.

Graphenstone Paints has announced an exciting new partnership with English Heritage to launch ‘The Colour Collection’, a stunning palette of 120 carefully curated colours, including 24 exquisite shades inspired by some of England’s most iconic historic sites.

“Colour trends have evolved throughout history, often influencing society's emotions and perceptions. English Heritage is dedicated to preserving these incredible memories and buildings for future generations. Our paints gently 'nod to the past' by combining trusted minerals like lime and silicate with 21st-century graphene technology, ensuring they are ecological, sustainable, and highly durable. Our clean-tech ranges create safe and healthy environments without compromising performance, making them perfect for the rigours of modern life. With a percentage of each paint pot sold going to English Heritage, we can all play a small part in preserving these wonderful buildings.,” has stated Patrick Folkes, Graphenstone UK CEO and Chairman.

Chosen for its natural, mineral-based paints – which are breathable, durable, and contain trace levels of VOCs – Graphenstone brings together sustainable materials and cutting-edge innovation. Its unique formula incorporates graphene, one of the strongest carbon fibres known, to deliver exceptional Class 1 durability, making the paints suitable for both interior and exterior use.

“We are delighted to partner with Graphenstone to produce a beautiful colour palette of paints inspired by our properties and collections. We care for hundreds of properties and over a million objects, and Graphenstone have done wonderful work conveying their stories through a highly sustainable, quality range of paints,” has added Alexandra Bovey, Licensing and B2B Manager at English Heritage.

The 24 English Heritage-inspired shades are the result of meticulous research, including digital scans and analysis of original wallpapers, textiles, furnishings and paintwork found throughout the charity’s historic properties. This collaboration not only celebrates England’s rich heritage but also offers homeowners and designers a fresh take on timeless style.

Notable shades from the collection include:

  • Mah-Jongg – A warm grey inspired by a pet lemur once kept at Eltham Palace by the Courtauld family in the 1920s.
  • Kenwood Cream – A traditional light cream, drawn from the Georgian façade of Kenwood House.
  • Smalt Blue – A deep, royal blue reminiscent of the gates at Chiswick House and historically created by combining cobalt and glass – favoured by artists such as Vermeer and Turner.
  • Golden Pheasant – A rich, warm yellow echoing the wallpaper patterns in the grand bedroom suites of Wrest Park.
  • Chinoiserie – A soft, delicate yellow sourced from the Chinese wallpaper at Marble Hill, revived by de Gournay for the Dining Parlour in 2006.
  • Mansfield's Blue – A refined green-blue inspired by Lord Mansfield’s bedchamber at Kenwood.
  • Eldorado – A fresh blue tone referencing the 19th-century Zuber wallpaper at Wrest Park, which depicts the mythical city of Eldorado and its global symbolism.

In a further commitment to sustainability, the entire collection is available in Graphenstone’s innovative new Peel & Stick Colour Samples. These reusable samples are made with over 30% recycled materials and use 94% less paint than traditional tester pots, significantly reducing waste and carbon emissions.
