A Non-drip, Toughened, Two-component Epoxy Meets NASA Low Outgassing Specifications

Master Bond introduced EP40ND, a two-component, drip-free epoxy system that meets NASA's low outgassing specifications.

Master Bond, manufacturer of epoxy adhesives, sealants, coatings, potting and encapsulation compounds, presented EP40ND. EP40ND is a two-component, non-drip, toughened epoxy system designed for bonding, sealing and coating applications.

EP40ND meets NASA's low outgassing specifications and has a high elongation of 80-90% at 75° F. It adheres well to many plastics, such as polycarbonates and acrylics, making it appropriate for applications using substrates prone to stress cracking.

Usable from -100° F to + 250° F, this electrically insulating compound can withstand severe thermal cycling, vibration and shock.

In addition to plastic, this epoxy is suitable for a variety of different substrates such as metals, composites, glass and ceramics.

EP40ND can be used in the aerospace, semiconductor, electronics, optoelectronics and medical device industries.
