Nicola Tei has been appointed Managing Director of Arkema’s Italian subsidiary. His role ensures continuity with the previous management, with the aim of strengthening people, skills, and strategy to successfully address market challenges.

Nicola Tei joins Arkema as Managing Director of the Italian subsidiary, succeeding Giulio Cocco, who led Arkema in Italy since 2012 and retired at the end of February.

“I take on the role of Managing Director with great enthusiasm and a strong sense of responsibility, and I would like to express my gratitude for the trust placed in me. My primary objective will be to continue along the path already undertaken by the company, enhancing people, skills, and strategy in order to successfully meet market challenges,” Tei stated.

Nicola Tei, originally from Livorno, began his career at Procter & Gamble before developing his professional expertise in the chemical sector, gaining over 20 years of experience in managing complex industrial operations, with a strong specialization in organic peroxides. He held several roles in Florence, Piombino, Larderello, Rho, and later Spinetta Marengo, where from 2009 to 2019 he first served as Production Manager and then as Plant Director at Arkema.

He held high-profile management roles in France and the United States before being appointed to head the Italian branch of the French multinational, which was established as a spin-off from Total.

Arkema operates in Italy through four chemical plants managed by Arkema Srl, located in Gissi (CH), Boretto (RE), Spinetta Marengo (AL), and Anagni (FR).

The Italian subsidiary also includes three controlled companies: Agiplast Italia Srl, based in the Cremona area, is a key player in polymer recycling, supporting Arkema’s commitment to circularity.
Ideal Work Srl, in the province of Treviso, is a recognized leader in decorative surface solutions for architectural and design applications.
Arkema Adesivi Srl, with plants in Parona and Mozzate, specializes in high-performance lamination adhesives for flexible packaging, serving demanding markets with advanced technologies.
