The report highlights strides made in product sustainability and the company’s broader social impact initiatives, reinforcing Beckers’ commitment to a more sustainable and equitable future.
Beckers Group has announced the publication of its 2024 Sustainability Report, marking a significant milestone with the official validation of its net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions targets by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
“Building on the progress achieved in 2024, we are pleased that SBTi has approved our targets. This approval not only validates our direction but also reconfirms that our roadmap is grounded in science and aligned with the urgent need for climate action,” has stated Christophe Sabas, Beckers Chief Executive Officer.
The SBTi’s approval, granted in March 2025, places Beckers among the first companies in the coil coatings industry to have its net-zero targets formally recognised as science-based. This development underlines the company’s leadership in corporate climate responsibility and sustainable innovation.
The newly released report details Beckers’ performance and progress towards its sustainability goals. For the first time, the company has published its full carbon footprint, providing a transparent view of its emissions across the entire value chain. This enhanced transparency emphasises the importance of collaboration with suppliers and customers to reduce emissions throughout the product lifecycle.
“Receiving SBTi approval is more than just a validation – it’s a call to action. We aim to lead by example and foster collaboration across the value chain to accelerate the shift toward a defossilised industry, with increased use of renewable carbon solutions,” has added Nicklas Augustsson, Chief Sustainability Officer at Beckers.
