Eckart has expanded its range of effect pigments for autonomous driving with the LUXAN CFX B604 Midnight Silver metallic pigment.
The pigment manufacturer Eckart has recently announced that it has expanded its range of effect pigments for autonomous driving with LUXAN CFX B604 Midnight Silver, a new solution with a metallic look that has a high radar transparency.
The new pigment LUXAN CFX B604 Midnight Silver adds sparkling silver highlights to the coating and can be combined with other pigments, in particular with aluminium effect pigments: the elegant silver tone transitions smoothly into a deep dark-down flop, while the interaction of the deep sparkle with a light source reveals a mysterious 3D depth effect. In addition, it is characterised by resistance to weathering and chemicals, as well as shear stability and inter-coat adhesion.
“With these innovative pigments, paint manufacturers are optimally prepared for future mobility technology. LUXAN CFX B604 Midnight Silver significantly expands the range of achievable effects for individual, radar-transparent styling,” has stated Thomas Schneider, the head of product evaluation for automotive coatings at Eckart.
