The rating from EcoVadis acknowledges Hempel’s dedication to transparency, sustainable innovation and strong partnerships with customers.
Hempel has received its best-ever ESG rating in the 2025 EcoVadis assessment, earning a bronze medal and placing among the top 35% of all companies evaluated by EcoVadis. This represents a 10-point improvement from 2024, with Hempel achieving a score of 63 points, reflecting the company’s deepening commitment to sustainable and responsible business practices.

Several recent initiatives contributed to this strong performance. In 2024, Hempel introduced a global parental leave policy and a flexible working policy, reinforcing its emphasis on social responsibility. Additionally, the company broadened its ESG reporting to cover critical areas such as waste, water, and energy, demonstrating a clear commitment to transparency and ongoing improvement.
