30 years VACUDEST stand for 30 years of experience. This know-how lives through H2O employees. Today, Friedrich Geiger reports on his experience as service technician at H2O.

Mr Geiger, you are highly valued at H2O as the most experienced service technician. How long have you been with H2O? Mr. Geiger: "I have been working at H2O for 17 years now."

What was your impression of VACUDEST when you first started at H2O? Mr. Geiger: "I was very impressed

I believed in the VACUDEST from the very beginning."

Has this changed? What kind of impression do you have of VACUDEST today? Mr. Geiger: "No, nothing has changed in this regard. I am still very impressed with the product – otherwise I would not be here anymore

"

What are the first words that come to mind when you think of VACUDEST? Mr. Geiger: "Excellence

We are, quite simply, the best! (laughs)"

As a service technician, you have always been directly involved in the process of developing the VACUDEST. Which of the product's many innovations meant the most to you? Mr. Geiger: "I have worked in machine development for a very long time – I was even working at Mannesmann. This means I have been working in the H2O workshop for a very long time, experiencing all of the innovations up close. What I particularly find special is the overall development of VACUDEST; we have constantly improved its performance and design. All aspects of the system have continued to get better over the years."

Many of your tasks in the service department involve repairs and complaints. It cannot be the easiest of jobs, but you have stuck with it for so long. What was the motivation for this? Mr. Geiger: "Service is at the very heart of what the company does

I have been in this department for so long, experiencing a great deal over the years."

Do the service jobs become easier over time as you become more experienced and understand the VACUDEST better? Mr. Geiger: "No, it's quite the opposite. The systems are becoming increasingly complex. My job will never become easier or boring. Each customer – indeed each system – is different, which is what makes my job so exciting. The more complex the system, the more fascinating my job becomes."

What is the nicest thing a customer has said to you about VACUDEST? Mr. Geiger: "Customers are always saying very nice things. But what I enjoy hearing the most is that they are satisfied and that everything is running perfectly. The best possible result is when a second order comes in directly after the initial one."

What has been your most formative experience at H2O? Mr. Geiger: "The first thing that comes to my mind is all the trips we took to trade fairs. We would carry on working on the machines until Friday and set out to the trade fairs on Saturday. Our trips abroad are definitely among my most unforgettable experiences. I was particularly impressed with the 12 days we spent in Melbourne."

Imagine that VACUDEST is a close friend of yours who has been in your life for many years. You have spent a long time together, experienced many things and faced many of life's challenges together. What would you tell your friend on their 30th birthday? Mr. Geiger: "I would wish for VACUDEST to remain as successful as ever and continue to have many customers in the upcoming years. It should carry on developing as well as it has and perhaps become even larger
