Ahlstrom Invests in Biomass Boiler in France to Drive Decarbonisation

Once operational, the biomass installation is projected to cut carbon emissions by an estimated 34 kilotons annually – the equivalent of taking 21,250 passenger cars off the road. Preparations for the project will begin immediately, with operations expected to commence in 2029. The move supports Ahlstrom’s climate targets for 2030.

BASF und Carlyle vereinbaren Übernahme des Coatings-Geschäfts – Wert 7,7 Milliarden €

Die Transaktion, zusammen mit der früheren Veräußerung des Bautenanstrichmittelgeschäfts von BASF, bewertet den gesamten Unternehmensbereich Coatings mit 8,7 Milliarden €. Dies entspricht einem impliziten EV/EBITDA-Multiplikator vor Sondereinflüssen von etwa 13x für 2024. BASF behält einen Anteil von 40 % an dem Geschäft und wird voraussichtlich bei Abschluss der Transaktion rund 5,8 Milliarden € vor Steuern erhalten.
