Beckers Group Named One of Europe’s Climate Leaders 2025 by the Financial Times

This esteemed accolade underscores Beckers Group's strong commitment to environmental stewardship and highlights its ongoing efforts to reduce carbon emissions across operations in 18 countries and throughout its value chain.

Beckers Group has been recognised by the Financial Times as one of Europe’s Climate Leaders 2025.

"We are truly honoured to receive this recognition from the Financial Times. Sustainability is embedded in every aspect of our business. This achievement is a testament to the dedication of our employees, partners, and customers as we work collectively to advance climate action, enhance operational efficiency and deliver more sustainable solutions," has stated Christophe Sabas, Chief Executive Officer of Beckers Group.

The Financial Times annual Climate Leaders ranking, compiled in collaboration with market research firm Statista, spotlights European companies that have made significant progress in cutting their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Out of 2,000 evaluated businesses, only 600 were selected for the 2025 list. The ranking primarily focuses on the companies achieving the most substantial reductions in core GHG emissions under Scope 1 and 2 between 2018 and 2023. Beckers improved its score from 60.9 to 68.4 in the past year alone.

This recognition builds on Beckers’ broader sustainability agenda aimed at accelerating the transition to a defossilised economy. The company continues to drive progress through the use of renewable energy and more sustainable raw materials in its coatings production.

In addition to lowering emissions, Beckers is innovating with environmentally friendly product solutions, including UV/EB coatings. These technologies can reduce energy use during the curing process by more than 70% compared to conventional methods. By eliminating the need for natural gas-fired ovens, they also significantly cut CO₂ emissions.
