Coatings Tech and Microban International have partnered to develop COTECH Bio Safe, a surface coating with built-in antibacterial protection.
Manufacturer of antibacterial technologies Microban International has teamed up with coatings producer Coatings Tech Limited to develop COTECH Bio Safe™, an anti-fingerprint, easy-to-clean and hard-wearing coating that helps to keep metallic surfaces free from microorganisms and bacteria.
The Microban silver technology contained in COTECH continually inhibits surface growth of bacteria by disrupting the vital life processes and biological functions that enable growth and reproduction. The surface is kept hygienically cleaner and fresher in between cleaning, and product replacement due to tarnishing and wear is reduced, as well as the need to polish hard-to-clean surfaces. This new technology allows to save time and reduce costs, while helping to optimise material protection, sustainability and performance.
COTECH Bio Safe is suitable for use on metallic surfaces, glass reinforced plastic (GRP), as well as on powder coated and plastic surfaces.
