Edward Johnson to strengthen global consulting and M&A advisory capabilities of ChemQuest.

The ChemQuest Group, a global consulting firm specialising in business strategy, operational optimisation, technology acceleration, market intelligence and M&A advisory services for the specialty materials sector, has announced the appointment of Edward Johnson as Director.

Johnson brings decades of international experience in strategy development and acquisitions. He began his career in strategy consulting, advising clients worldwide on market intelligence, competitive positioning and corporate transactions, before moving into the polymers sector, where he led strategy and M&A for a manufacturer of engineered polymer products.

“I started my career as a strategy consultant, advising clients on market and competitor intelligence, strategy development and acquisitions all over the world. That led me to the world of polymers, leading strategy and M&A for a manufacturer of engineered polymer products. Now returning to consulting, I saw a strong fit with ChemQuest’s scope of work and approach and have been impressed by its breadth and depth of capability. I’m excited to join this team of industry experts, bringing my expertise in developing and implementing robust and actionable strategy,” has commented Edward Johnson.

Throughout his career, Johnson has held roles at Advanced Sealing Technologies (a Michelin business line), IAMCO Strategy Consultants and Vermillion Partners. His background includes leading acquisition processes from target identification through to execution, supporting multinational clients with market entry and growth strategies, and assessing market attractiveness and competitive positioning.

“Edward is a business strategy powerhouse. He has driven strategy development and implementation efforts all over the world, incorporating inorganic growth efforts through successful strategic M&A initiatives. Complex global geopolitical and industrial dynamics have prompted many of our clients to reevaluate strategic initiatives, and Edward’s expertise will prove invaluable as we support their efforts to achieve long-term profitable growth,” has added Daniel Murad, ChemQuest CEO.
